Culture Day
What an incredible day celebrating the richness of our diverse communities! 🌍
Our Cultural Day was a truly unforgettable event, with over 100 ladies proudly wearing their beautiful traditional clothing, representing Morocco, Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, Ethiopia, and Eritrea.
The venue was transformed with colourful flags and traditional artefacts from each country, creating a vibrant atmosphere that celebrated culture, heritage, and unity. Delicious homemade national dishes were prepared and shared, giving everyone the opportunity to experience the wonderful flavours of each culture.
We were also treated to spectacular dance performances from Ethiopia, Somalia, Yemen, and Syria, alongside fantastic musical performances from Morocco and Egypt, including the powerful rhythms of traditional drums that had everyone smiling and celebrating together.
It was more than just a cultural event, it was a chance for women to come together, forget about their worries and challenges for a few hours, and simply enjoy themselves in a welcoming, joyful environment. The laughter, music, food, and friendships made the day truly special.
